Every month we go through your site and look for what’s wrong. That means schema that no longer matches the page, broken links, duplicate pages, missing images, and anything a Google update asks for. Schema is the code that puts your hours in the search result, so when it disagrees with the page, Google gets the wrong answer.
Then we get on a call. We go through what we found and what we recommend, and you get the list in writing. You sign off on the list, and its fee, before we do the work. Plans start at $150 a month and run month to month, with no contract.
What every plan covers#
The monthly checks cover the schema, the links, duplicate pages and missing images. They also cover the changes Google’s updates require, page speed, and how the site looks on a phone.
The upkeep that keeps the site safe and running:
- Backups, so any change can be undone.
- Hosting kept running, and the DNS settings that point your domain at your site kept right.
- Protection from bot attacks and traffic floods (DDoS), and the security headers that tell a browser what your site may load.
- Your sitemap submitted to Google, so new pages get found.
- Your Business Profile and directory listings kept saying the same thing as your site.
Then comes the work you ask for. That can be a page changed, a service added, new content, a lead form or campaign, or an ad written. It can also be training for whoever updates the site, or a problem nobody has solved for you yet. We run it as a marketing consulting firm, so the list covers the whole project, not only the website.
What happens when we start#
Let’s look at what you already have. If your site runs on WordPress or a page builder, we move it onto our build first. The move gets its own figure, in writing, before it starts.
After that, every month runs the same way. We call to go through what we found and what we recommend. You get the list in writing, sign it off, and we do the work. Questions between calls get an answer within one business day.
How pricing works#
Plans start at $150 a month. Where yours sits depends on the size of the site and how much new content you want each month. It also depends on the hours the month’s list takes, and on the accounts we manage alongside it, such as your Business Profile and analytics. Consulting, training, custom work, lead forms and campaigns, and ad writing add to it when you ask for them.
You get your figure in writing after the first call, before any work starts.
“What if nothing needs fixing?”#
Then the month goes to new content. The checks, the backups, the security and the hosting run every month either way. When the checks find little to fix, the rest of the month goes to new pages or articles. They’re on the list you sign off before we start.
